These pages are about some of my experiences in which you might share

I make no bones about this site. It is my recollections and about things I am passionate about. It is about me.

You can find out about my life growing up in West London in the 1950's in 'History'.

You will see that I have many and varied interests, many of which I do not find it easy to participate in any more. The things I have done and the choices I made are similar to those most other people make. Some of mine may be a little bit unique due to circumstances. If you can learn or gain confidence from anything I write about then I have done what I set out to do. Spread a little happiness and give those who would like a chance.

If you have never done anything before, don't listen to those people who say you cannot. Go and do it!I did!

Many chances in life I have had came about by circumstance. The odd word here or meeting someone new and getting out and about. Sitting at the computer does not help to get the adreneline flowing.....you have to get out there and risk getting wet or really physically tired.

I atarted work from school at 17 as an apprentice artificial limb maker at Roehampton.

I became proficient in making things leather, including leg parts.

After i had completed further education I changed my job to a Laboritory Technician.

Here i learned all about biochemistry and earned two degrees in advanced biochemistry.

Then I joined the fire service as a fireman (now a fire fighter)

I have been a Fire Prevention Officer, Fire Safety Officer and am now a Community Fire Safety Inspector for a Local Authority Fire Services with 25 years experience.

That has generated and given me a close up view of the legal and legislative processes that work places are required by law to follow.

I am a qualified Fire Risk Assessor and I am able to make, update and validate your fire risk assessment. I can advise you of the steps you need to take to satisfy the law with regard to fire safety at work.

I have been trained and have used this experience outside the fire service to assist companies and company personnel to achieve the required standards.

I earned a degree in Building Construction and became a Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
